ONLINE FUNCTIONAL LANGUAGE COURSE (OFLC)

To obtain a high school diploma, it is one of the requirements for Ontario High School students to fulfill 40 hours of voluntary works

Problem:
  • Most of the students find difficulties to fulfill these hours
La Vie accommodates high school students to fulfill these mandatory hours:
  • It offers Online Functional Language Courses (English and French) which is conducted by the Canadian High School students. Through this engagement, Canadian students can fulfill their volunteer hours to obtain a diploma. On the other hand Bangladeshi High School students are being able to develop their language skills. The students from both the countries find this initiative as a collaborative win-win program.
  • It creates an opportunity for the Canadian students to teach overseas communities using internet from their home or schools
